Stihl ms 290 farm boss
This week is the filth and final blog post. I told you at the beginning that this would be a five blog post of five different chainsaws. Not just any saw but the five best rated chainsaws in the United States 2012 according to popular science magazine. This week I am going to talk about my favorite brand of saws. Has to bring to the table no it may not be the best chainsaw in the world. But if you want the most bang for your buck you are going to be surprised. If you get a chance to run one of these saw’s do it. In my personal opinion I love this saw and I like the name it has on it Stihl. It is the Stihl ms 290 farm boss and a boss it is. It is Stihl’s approach on a saw for people with wood burners that cut enough fire wood to burn for the winter. It does its job this is defiantly a saw that is on my wish list. I personally like the ms 290 farm boss and the Echo cs-600 in this blog series. I will have them both one day but it will probably be the ms 290 farm boss that I get first. Just for the simple fact that it’s great powerful saw with the name of Stihl to back it. I have ran one of these saw’s that I borrowed from a friend a good bit. The clutch has a great snappy feel to it and the power it has I sophisticated not rip your arm off. It’s smart and good enough to cut through 150 year old oak with no power loss on the big bites. I recommend that you use a skip tooth chain combo with it. I have done so and have had great results with it not to doggy but making wood chips not dust. Well hope this information has helped you with picking the right saw for you. Thanks for looking at my series of blog post.

Jonsered cs2159c
This week I am going to talk about the all new cs2159c that Jonsered has came out with this last fall. First of all I have got one chance and one chance only to run this saw. My uncle Dave just bought one this spring and he absolutely loves it. I went down to try it out after he got it I got to cut up a 150 year old oak limb with it. And this saw is absolutely amazing to run I only weighs 17 pounds which sound like a lot but it really isn’t. Midsized saws now day’s weight between 16 to 22 pounds   so I falls right into that spectrum. This saw has the same awesome fast speed as its Jonsered predecessors. With all the power you will need for your application. With a 56.5 cc and 4.4hp power house motor it is the most powerful chainsaw motor in all of the chainsaws I am going to be reviewing. I am not too sure about the warranty information on these saws. I do know that there are only small dealers for this saw like tractor dealerships and power equipment stores. Jonsered doesn’t deal with big giant warehouse stores like Lowes or tractor supply. They are kind of like Stihl in that matter because Stihl only deals in small stores. Therefore you have a lot better customer service and smarter people to deal with the matter. Unlike Lowes that will hire any Jon doe that walks in and knows what a chainsaw does. And you don’t have to contact any (800) number just to get any answers that you may need.

Husqvarna 455 rancher

Hi there is that time of the week again, this week I’m going to do a slightly opinionated review. On the Husqvarna 455 rancher 55.5cc medium sized chainsaw. First of all if you have read my first blog post you may know that this is the chainsaw that I bought from Lowes just over a year ago. And it blew up about a month ago out of nowhere. I kept the fuel mixture just right and I didn’t change the brand I used all I run in all of my saws is Stihl ultra high performance. For the most lubrication in the cylinder and I never ran it too hot. One cold day this last past winter I was cutting with it I had just shut it off and let it sit for about ten minutes. I started it up again and ran it for about 10 minutes and then I hear a loud bang. And a jolt on my hand that hurt what happened was the piston froze inside of the cylinder and broke the bolts that hold the jug on. It shoved the jug out of the plastic case and into my hand. So the next day I took it back to Lowes and they told me that I had used it commercially and they would not take it back.  But if you want to know more about that just read my first blog post because that is what it is about. The husqvarna is not a terrible saw it has a powerful 55.5 x-torque motor. An excellent chain brake system and oiled very well. I just had bad luck and I don’t want it to happen again.

The saw I am going to talk about this week is the new Echo cs-600p. This is Echo’s all new medium sized professional saw and featured in Popular Mechanics. A Few weeks ago I got the chance to run one of these saws for the first time and it was fantastic. In my opinion one of the best saws I have ever ran. It’s a light weight saw with very tough viable plastics for you guys that like to use and abuse your saws. It is a 59.8 cc 4hp motor that delivers a nice clean crisp amount of power not too much power that will tear your arm off but sophisticated power. One of my favorite features of the saw is the clean clutch action not to loose but not too snappy. Like your breaking something, if you cut any kind of wood professionally you want this saw. It comes in as one of the most expensive saws on the market. But it is well worth the money in my opinion, but everyone has their own opinion and favorite kind of saw. Whether you are cutting limbs or cutting , splitting, and selling fire wood for a living. This is a honest to goodness good all around saw and I can garuntee that you wont be dissatisfied with this was. Everybody knows that Echo is one of the best brands on the chainsaw market. They have been building great saws and other equipment for years now. And they are still going strong I give them a round of applause for the cs-600p, good job echo great saw.

FInding the right chainsaw

HI my name is Zack and I cut firewood professionally and sell it. Up till about a year I was using a saw that I bought at Lowes. For around 350 bucks and it just blew up after about 100 hours of use. When I took it back to Lowes to get it replaced or at least a refund for it they told me that It had been used to much. Therefore they would not do anything with it even though I bought a 3 year unlimited warranty. This really made me mad but I always tend to look at the glass half empty instead of half full. I did get 100 hours out of the saw and when I think about it. It was worth the 350 dollars I paid for it because I got that much work out of it. Whether I like it or not if Lowes replaced every saw that they had brought back in because of problems it had. They would go bankrupt in no time at all. So this whole series of blogs will be my journey to find the perfect saw for what I do. I will compare different saws, and companies that make them. As well as the warranty information that comes with the saw. So if you find yourself in the same predicament that I have you have an idea what to do. My goal is to get answers for professionals like myself. Not necessary the best bang for the buck because when it is a business you have to pay for your equipment to last.
